City Meetings & Agendas

The Rancho Cucamonga City Council/Fire Protection District meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. For these meetings (considered regular meetings), a packet of material (including staff reports and other documentation) is prepared. This packet of supporting documentation is normally placed on the Internet the Thursday prior to the regular Wednesday City Council meeting and can be accessed below. Be sure to visit RC Live if you'd like to see the video of the meeting. The City Council/Fire Protection District occasionally holds special meetings and workshops to discuss specific topics of interest.

EIFD PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY

The Public Financing Authority is a body formed and operating under Government Code Section 53398.50 et seq. The primary purpose of the Authority is to accelerate the financing of authorized public improvements.

Library Board of Trustees

The Library Board of Trustees is composed of five members appointed by the Mayor and City Council. It is an administrative board with oversight of the Archibald Library and Paul A. Biane Library as defined in the California State Education Code. The Library Board of Trustees meets the first Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Rancho Cucamonga Civic Center Council Chamber located at 10500 Civic Center Drive. The Public Art Committee

The Public Art Committee is composed of five members appointed by the City Council as follows: (i) one member of the Planning Commission; (ii) one member of the Community and Arts Foundation; and (iii) three members of the public appointed based on relevant work experience, trade, industry, or expertise. Duties include advising the City Council regarding the selection, purchase, placement, and maintenance of art installed by the City or on City property, and expenditures from the City of Rancho Cucamonga Public Art Trust Fund. Design Review Committee

The Design Review Committee is composed of two members of the Planning Commission and one member of the Planning and Economic Development Department to serve as Staff Coordinator. The committee meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm in the Rains Conference Room. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and provide direction to an applicant on the design of their project before recommending to the main body of the Planning Commission. Planning Commission and Historic Preservation Committee Meetings

The Planning Commission's role is to review and make decisions on various land use applications such as, but not limited to, Conditional Use Permits, Development/Design Reviews, Entertainment Permits, Subdivisions (tentative tract and tentative parcel maps), and Variances. The Commission also makes recommendations to the City Council regarding amendments to the General Plan, Development District/Zoning, and the Development Code. They will also review and make recommendations on new ordinances, land use determinations, and other matters of public interest.

The Planning/Historic Preservation Commission meetings are held every second and fourth Wednesday of each month at *7:00 p.m. in the City's Council Chamber located at 10500 Civic Center Drive.

(*)Effective July 2026 Regular City Council Meetings and Planning Commission meetings will begin at 6:00 p.m.

City Council Subcommittees

The Council has subcommittees on which two Council Members serve to consider assigned areas of City programs/functions, provide feedback to staff, and make recommendations to the full City Council on related policy matters and Commission/Foundation appointments. These committees meet on an as-needed basis throughout the year.
