The City of Rancho Cucamonga is proud to have recently received the 2026 Helen Putnam Award for Excellence for Randall Lewis Second Story and Beyond®! Presented through League of California Cities, the Helen Putnam Award Program celebrates innovative programs and solutions making a difference in communities across California.
More than 17 years in the making, Randall Lewis Second Story and Beyond® became a reality in May 2024. Today, it is the first children’s museum owned and operated by a municipal library in the United States, creating a one-of-a-kind space where children and families can discover, play and learn together.
This recognition belongs to the many City council members, City staff, donors, partners and community supporters who helped turn an ambitious idea into a destination for children and families throughout our region. As the crowned jewel of the Inland Empire, Rancho Cucamonga is honored to receive this statewide recognition and proud to see the impact Randall Lewis Second Story and Beyond® makes in our community.
