Library Activities and Events

The Rancho Cucamonga Public Library offers a host of activities and events for all members of our community. We encourage you to explore our programs and join in on the fun!

The Rancho Cucamonga Public Library Summer Reading Program is a FREE program that encourages children, teens, and adults to read throughout the summer. Sign up and track your summer reading progress online! The program runs from Tuesday, June 2,2026 through Saturday, July 18, 2026.

Raffle Prizes

Visit “rcpl.beanstack.org” on your computer or download “Beanstack Tracker” on your Android or iOS digital device.
Click on “Register an Individual or Family.”
We recommend registering yourself first and then the remaining members of your family.
Fill in the registration form for each reader.
Already have a Beanstack Account with another Library or School? Add the Rancho Cucamonga Public Library to your account through these steps.

Children’s Challenge is designed for ages infant to 12 years; however, patrons of all ages may register for this Challenge.
Teen Challenge is open to ages 12 to 17 years.
Adult Challenge is open to ages 18+ years.
Please limit individual registrations to one Challenge only.

Children’s Challenge
- Program requirements: Children must complete 8 Logging Badges for a total reading goal of 16 hours (2 hours per week).
- Logging Badges are earned by logging minutes read or using the reading timer in Beanstack.
- Participants must log 2 hours (or 120 minutes) of weekly reading to earn a Logging Badge and weekly incentive.
- Reading is recorded cumulatively, and each Logging Badge will be awarded based upon total reading.
- Every Logging Badge earns the following:
  - A weekly incentive, while supplies last.
    - Incentives may be picked up at any open library location.
    - Incentives may not be collected early.
    - Readers may collect previous weeks’ incentives.
  - A virtual raffle ticket to enter into the prize drawing.
- Optional: Activity and Review Badges earn additional raffle tickets. All tickets must be entered into the drawing by Saturday, July 20, 2024.
Teen and Adult Challenges
- Program requirements: Participants must complete 8 Logging Badges for a total reading goal of 16 hours.
- Participants must log 2 hours (or 120 minutes) of weekly reading to earn a Logging Badge and weekly incentive.
- Reading is recorded cumulatively, and each badge will be awarded based upon total reading.
- Participants will earn a weekly incentive for every 2 hours of reading up to 16 hours, while supplies last.
  - Incentives may not be collected early.
  - Readers may collect previous weeks’ incentives.
- Each completed badge earns raffle tickets to enter into the prize drawing.
- Optional: Participants can earn additional raffle tickets by completing additional badges. All tickets must be entered into the drawing by Saturday, July 20, 2024.

Pick up weekly incentives from June 1 – July 20, while supplies last.
- Incentives may not be collected early.
- Readers may collect previous weeks’ incentives.
Raffle tickets may be submitted until July 20, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. PDT
Raffle prize winners will be contacted by email by Saturday, July 27, 2024.
Raffle prize winners may pick up their prizes from July 30 – August 3.

Badge: A virtual incentive, like a scout badge. These appear gray until completed.
Challenge Badge: Badge awarded upon registering or completing the Summer Reading Challenge.
Logging Badge: Badge awarded for reaching a weekly reading goal.
Activity Badge: Badge awarded for completing an activity or task listed in the badge description.
Review Badge: Badge awarded for writing reviews of materials read.
Rewards: A record of badges and rewards earned. A reward is a weekly incentive.
Ticket Drawing: Participants enter their virtual raffle tickets for a raffle-style drawing.
Challenge Log: A record of all badges completed.
