Local business owners and residents play an important role in reducing homelessness in our community. Know When to Call Business owners and residents are encouraged to call the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department’s non-emergency number at 1-909-941-1488 if they believe that there is a violation of the City's "Prohibition Against Camping or Interference with the Use of Public Property Including Access Ordinance No. 1037" or other law. The community can also use the RC2GO portal to report a homeless encampment.

Under the Rancho Cucamonga Municipal Code, the following behaviors may constitute a crime and the Police Department should be contacted if the following are witnessed and/or disrupting business operations:
- Threats or threatening behavior.
- Setting up tents or other unpermitted temporary structures (shade structures with open sides are allowed in parks and beaches).
- Blocking access to businesses, private property or public restrooms.
- Leaving personal items unattended on public property.
- Sleeping in restrooms.
- Sleeping overnight in cars.
- Using public fountains, drinking faucets, restroom sinks or sprinklers for personal hygiene or to wash dishes or clothes.
- Trespassing on private property.

For emergencies or life-threatening incidents, call 911.
Please discourage panhandling. Well-meaning donations like cash or supplies can unintentionally discourage people from accepting help, making it harder for the City to assist them.
