9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

The Rancho Cucamonga Fire District and Rancho Cucamonga Police Department will be commemorating the 20th anniversary of September 11, 2001. The 9/11 terror attacks took the lives of 2,977 men, women, and children in New York City, Arlington, VA. and near Shanksville, PA. Twenty years after the attacks, we look back to a day that changed our Nation’s history and remember the sacrifice and strength of all the lives that were impacted.

Contact Free Shredding Event

Thursday, September 16th the James L. Brulte Senior Center (11200 Base Line Rd.) will be hosting a fundraising Contact-Free Shredding Event through a partnership with Visiting Angels from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. $10 suggested donation or toiletry items to benefit the Jane Penny Link Program for home-bound seniors. 

  • First come, first serve
  • Bring your documents in bags, not boxes
  • Limit per person is equivalent to 2 large trash bags
  • Last shredding is taken promptly at 10:00 a.m.
