New Meeting Start Times for City Council and Planning Commission meetings: Planning Commission meetings will begin at 6:00 p.m. starting July 8, 2026, and City Council meetings will begin at 6:00 p.m. starting July 15, 2026.
The Local Overlay Pavement Rehabilitation Project begins this month in select neighborhoods across the city. This project includes sidewalk and curb ramp upgrades, asphalt resurfacing, and fresh striping to extend the life of our local streets.

What to Expect:
- “No Parking” signs will be posted 72 hours before each working day.
- During asphalt preparation, property access will remain open, but on-street parking may be restricted.
- During asphalt resurfacing, street access will be unavailable from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Some driveways will have direct access restrictions. If your driveway is affected, you will receive a separate notice with the specific dates.

Major Arterial Rehabilitation Project
The Major Arterial Rehabilitation Project is anticipated to break ground in mid-August along Carnelian Avenue and Vineyard Avenue from 8th Street to Base Line Road. The project includes full roadway rehabilitation, curb ramp improvements, traffic signal enhancements, and new pavement striping to extend the service life of our major arterial roadways.

What to Expect:
- Intermittent delays through the project limits.
- Reduced lanes and shifting traffic patterns during construction.
- Temporary closure of curb ramps.
- Occasional detours or alternate routes, especially near major intersections.
- Noise, vibration, and construction activity from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Access to driveways will be maintained but may be briefly limited at times.
