How to Apply
All Rancho Cucamonga businesses* are encouraged to apply. Participation is free and easy! To be considered for recognition, follow these three easy steps:
Step 1: Complete the Green Business Program checklist by checking off all the green practices that apply to your business. You must complete all the required practices in each category and have at least 20 practices in total. The categories are:
- Waste Reduction
- Pollution Prevention
- Energy Efficiency
- Water Conservation and Water Quality
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Transportation (if applicable)
Step 2: Complete no-cost resource assessments with your utilities for energy, water, and waste. Utility staff contact information is available on page 4 of the checklist. These assessments will identify ways to use fewer resources which reduces cost and utility staff will even let you know about available rebate programs.
Step 3: Submit your checklist electronically OR Mail, Email, or Fax a hardcopy to: Fabian Villenas, Principal Management Analyst, City Manager's Office, 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730. Phone: (909) 477-2700 ext. 2006; Fax: (909) 477-2846. Once the City has received your checklist, schedule a site visit with a friendly City staff member who will go over the checklist with you for verification.
