Launch of Upgraded Sports Lighting Access System

The City of Rancho Cucamonga is excited to announce the launch of an Upgraded Sports Lighting Access System

Lights on Sites is an innovative, efficient and user-friendly way of managing lights and is being implemented at all current coin-operated “pay-to-play” lighted City sports facilities, including ballfields, tennis courts and the Heritage Park Equestrian Center.

The eco-friendly Lights on Sites system will ensure lights are turned on and off at appropriate times, improve lighting usage at these sites, and offer a more convenient means to access lighting.

The end of December marked the beginning of a six-week introduction period where the light access fee was free of charge for those who used the upgraded web-based, Lights on Sites system. All coin-operated lighting systems are scheduled to be removed in February 2017 and coins will no longer be accepted for lighting access. This upgraded lighting access system is accessible via data and GPS enabled smartphones and tablets.
