During the July 6th City Council meeting, Mayor L. Dennis Michael requested staff to place on a future City Council Agenda a presentation and information on California Proposition 64, Legalization of Marijuana that is on the November 8th election ballot.
At the September 7, 2016 City Council meeting, Police Chief Danielle Boldt, Captain for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and city staff presented a comprehensive review and potential impacts of the California Proposition 64, Legalization of Marijuana item on the statewide November 8th Ballot.

At the conclusion of the presentation and subsequent discussion, Council Member Sam Spagnolo made a motion for the City Council to take a formal opposition position on Proposition 64, the motion was seconded by Council Member Diane Williams; the motion passed, with a vote of 4 in favor, 0 Against, and Council Member Bill Alexander abstaining.
