Dozens of Firefighters Respond to Afternoon Blaze
At approximately 12:40 p.m. on Friday, November 7th, Rancho Cucamonga Firefighters responded to a reported residential structure fire in the 5000 block of Klusman Ave..
Crews were able to see smoke showing from the neighborhood while they were en route. Once on scene, firefighters found a two-story home with the garage fully involved with fire. The fire spread to the attic shortly after fire crews arrived.
More than 40 firefighters responded to the afternoon blaze and were able to confine the fire to the attic, garage and part of the second story. The first floor of the residence sustained heavy water damage. The response included 10 fire engines, one ladder truck, three chief officers and two fire investigators. No injuries were reported and th cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Investigators estimate the home sustained $400,000 structure damage and $200,000 of contents lost.
