Red Hill Lake - Anticipated Completion Before Summer 2015

Redesigned as Irrigation Reservoir with New Operating Systems

The Red Hill Lake project is on target to be completed in late spring of 2015!  Engineers are hard at work preparing the design and bid documents for a more energy and water efficient lake that serves as a reservoir for irrigating a section of the park.  The project will be put out to bid in early 2015 with completion estimated before summer.

The proposed plan calls for the same size, shape and depth of the community icon - its existing 1980's operating systems completely replaced and environmental features incorporated to reduce on-going operating costs.

After a much needed deep cleaning of Red Hill lake,  city staff and  engineers evaluated the existing equipment and developed a plan for it's redesign.  On September 2nd the City Council approved the proposal to retrofit Red Hill Lake with a focus on higher efficiencies, use of solar power, rebates and keeping the lake looking just like it did.
