Shortly after 7 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2014, Rancho Cucamonga firefighters responded to a reported commercial fire in the 11700 block of Arrow Rte. in Rancho Cucamonga.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke showing from the east side of Building #2, one of seven buildings on the property, with employees self-evacuating. Crews made entry into the building and located the fire in an underground confined space with hydraulic lines and machinery used in the metal forging process. The fire was knocked down in less than 10 minutes and completely extinguished just 15 minutes later.
Approximately 25 firefighters with five engines and two truck companies responded to the early morning incident. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Fire inspectors are working with on-site staff so the business can resume operations as quickly as possible.
