Inland Pacific Ballet Academy presents...

Summer Showcase LilYpada

A showcase of work developed in Inland Pacific Ballet Academy's 5-week Summer Intensive Dance Program including ballet repertoire and character dances. Dancers ages 7-17 from all levels of the program will present work.

LilYpada is a new original work that for the first time combines ballet and musical theater. This first workshop performance will introduce Liya, a young girl who must move with her family across the country, but longs to stay with her friends. In a fantastical dream she finds herself in the imaginary land of the LilYpas who are dancing butterflies.  With the help of a cast of strange and comical creatures who share with her the values of respect, courage, kindness and love, she goes on a quest to overcome her fears and find her way home to friends and family.  This work in progress includes original music, book, and lyrics by Hugues Jocelyn Cano with choreography and staging by Zaylin Cano and Michael Milligan.
