Urban Forestry is also a section within the Parks and Landscape Maintenance group. The importance of this section is emphasized to the community by way of an annual Arbor Day celebration, with children from local elementary schools participating in the event by planting trees in one of the City parks. Recognized as a "Tree City USA" recipient by the National Arbor Day Foundation, the City also has a Tree Registry Program that citizens can participate in by replanting missing trees in a park of their choice. Interested parties should contact Andrea Rivas at (909) 477-2730 ext. 4104.
