Ms. Scott is Public Affairs Manager for the Southern California Gas Company. She moved to Rancho Cucamonga in 2013. Kristine grew up loving her local library and she fondly recalls going every week, if not every day, to check out the newest book or do research for a school paper. She appreciated the staff and resources the library offered. She believes public libraries are a vital part of the community and she’s proud to be part of the Foundation so she can help generate support for the numerous innovative programs and services it offers to the community.

David Gonzalez

Mr. Gonzalez is a 29-year Rancho Cucamonga resident who remembers visiting the library when it was located at the Lions Center. David, a Real Estate Advisor, directly attributes his career path to a book he checked out of the Archibald Library which gave him the inspiration to achieve higher goals in life. The library has meant so much to him that he wants others to have the same opportunities he had to expand their possibilities in life. By serving on the Foundation, he hopes to accomplish that goal.

Tina Gilfry

Ms. Gilfry is an educator with the Etiwanda School District. She moved to Rancho Cucamonga from Switzerland in l994. Tina is married to an internationally recognized singer and first learned about the Foundation when her husband was asked to host a Library Telethon years ago. For her as a mother, teacher and resident of Rancho Cucamonga, the Rancho Cucamonga Libraries have been incredible resources for literature, art appreciation, a sense of community and information of all kinds. She is very proud of all the amazing things the Foundation has accomplished through the years and she loves being part of such a great organization.

Ms. Akahoshi is a State Farm Agent in Rancho Cucamonga, where she has lived for 24 years. Teresa believes libraries are an important part of our community because they offer residents of all ages the opportunity to enjoy many resources. She volunteers for the Foundation to help support and raise funds to continue the library’s programs and resources.

Ms. Davies has been a Rancho Cucamonga resident for 26 years and she joined the Library Foundation in 1999. An active community volunteer, she also serves as a member of the Alta Loma School Board. Rebecca enjoys having the opportunity to give back to our wonderful community while working with an amazing group of dedicated board members and staff.

Pam Easter is a retired 30+ year city management professional, most recently having worked for the City of Rancho Cucamonga. A resident of Rancho Cucamonga for over 12 years, Pam truly values the important role that the Library plays in our community and appreciates the opportunity to "give back" through the Foundation service.

Ms. Leal is the Creative Services Director of Bluesilver Video Productions. Ruth has been a Rancho Cucamonga resident for 18 years. The library has been an important part of her family’s lives and they appreciate having such a great library at their fingertips. Ruth believes the library is the pulse of our community and she gives back what she can to ensure that all the library services are available for others to enjoy, too.

Leslie May, an elementary school teacher, has lived in Rancho Cucamonga for 5 years. Leslie believes the library offers far more today than simply books to borrow – it offers a variety of classes and services for the community from the very young to senior citizens. By serving on the Foundation Board, she has the opportunity to promote all the library’s resources to the community.

Ms. Soehnel, a retired Etiwanda School District teacher and administrator, has lived with her family in Rancho Cucamonga for 60 years. Heidi believes that state-of-the-art libraries and programs offer needed amenities and bring joy to our community. She enjoys reading with her two grandchildren and looks forward to being a contributing member of the Library Foundation which has been such a positive influence in Rancho Cucamonga.

Ms. Sommer is a retired Educator who has resided in Rancho Cucamonga for 35 years. Kathy’s children have enjoyed many of the opportunities that were given to them through the library, including participating in the telethons. She is a strong advocate for reading and the library and joined the Foundation as a way to give back to the community.
