Are you ready for summertime fun at the library? It's showtime and the spotlight is on reading!
This year’s theme is “It's Showtime at your Library” and we have a library full of books that are sure to surprise, delight, and entertain!
Let the show begin! The Library invites everyone to participate in the annual Summer Reading Program – from infants to teens to adults. Simply stop by either of our Library locations to sign up beginning June 3. While you’re there, check out a few books to get you started.
Reading during the summer is essential for children and teens to help maintain their reading skills and to prevent “the summer slide.” Children learn by modeling or watching their families, so have an exciting time reading together as a family!
The Summer Reading Program continues for seven weeks, spanning from June 3 through July 20.
Children, adults, and teens can check in weekly to earn incentive prizes and raffle tickets that can be used towards larger prizes.
Weekly Summer Performances:
The Library also hosts weekly family-friendly summer performances featuring music, magic, animals, puppets, juggling, and a whole lot more.
For the Children's Summer Reading weekly programs free tickets are distributed one week prior to show on a first come basis and are available at the Children’s Information Desk. To attend the finale children must complete all 7 weeks of the program in order to earn a ticket.
