Get a Library Card

library card

In order to obtain a library card, you will need to show the following:

  • One photo ID - Driver’s license, school ID, passport.
  • One additional ID with your name - credit card, Automobile Club card, etc.
  • Proof of address. If this information is not on your ID, please bring something that shows your current address - utility bill or DMV change of address card.

Save yourself some time at the library. Print the appropriate application, fill it out in advance, and bring to the Check Out desk with your IDs.

All California residents may get a library card.

All applicants must appear in person, regardless of age.

If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must be present to show their identification and sign consent.

Legal guardians need to bring court documentation showing legal guardianship.

You can replace a lost card for $2.00.
