The public right-of-way is inclusive of the street and the parkway. The parkway portion of the public right-of-way is located in the front and/or side (if a corner lot) of your property between your property line and the street curb. The width of the public parkway depends on the width of the right-of-way and what is recorded on your Tract/Parcel Map and or your title report.
If you are proposing to add additional square footage to your home (650 square feet or more - accumulative within a 5 year period), then you may be required to pay impact fees (one time only) and/or be required to install street improvements.
Please contact the Land Development Section for more information (909) 477-2740.

You must notify the property owner or manager in writing if you are a tenant. If you are the property owner, you should contract your insurance company to see if it is covered by your homeowner's policy or contact a licensed professional familiar with mold investigations, so it can be properly diagnosed and remedied.
Note: The City of Rancho Cucamonga does not perform and evaluate mold problems. Mold needs to be investigated, tested and if found positive removed by a licensed contractor whom specializes in mold eradication.
The Home Improvement Program can help you pay for repairs and improvements to your home such as new roofing, a new furnace, or plumbing/electrical repairs. A variety of grants and loans are available to qualified recipients.
Applications for Home Improvement are accepted any time throughout the year. Following a thorough review by the representatives from the Planning and Building & Safety Departments, including visits to the home and discussions with the homeowner, the applicant is placed on an eligibility list; funds are released as they become available.

The Engineering Services Department requires an application along with a site plan (showing existing/proposing drive approaches – dimensions and locations from property lines, and between the two approaches) for pre-approval.
This requires a Minor Improvements Construction Permit. This is only required if you are placing the dumpster in the street; if placed on your private property, the Engineering Services Department does not require a permit but does recommend that you are in compliance with the Planning and Building & Safety Departments. We only allow dumpsters to be placed in the street for a maximum of 10 days.
