Afterschool Activities Club

The RC TeenWorks Afterschool Activities Club is designed to keep youth and teens in grades 5 - 10 busy after school with their choice of games, sports, or Open Art Studio. Club programs vary and are offered monthly on Mondays and Wednesdays. Pre-registration and fee are required.

Registration Information

For Club session dates, times, and fees, and to register online, click the Register icon next to the activity you are interested in enrolling in. Walk-in registration is available at the Goldy S. Lewis Community Center at Central Park - 11200 Base Line Road, Rancho Cucamonga (map). Mon. - Fri. 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Sat. / Sun. 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Team Building and/or Mixed Media Art 

August
Participate in teambuilding activities like communication challenges, physical challenges, races and cooperative problem solving games. The Art Studio features projects that include the use of mixed media.

Baseball, Softball & Kickball Games and/or Knitting, Weaving & String Art         

September
Join us for an exciting month of the great American game! Participate in sports games like a home run derby, all-base kickball, frisbee baseball and more. The Art Studio features projects involving string or yarn such as nail and string art, finger or arm knitting, loom weaving and more.

Football and/or Messy Art

October
Hut, hut, hike! Teens will play games like flag football, ultimate football, 500 and more. Be prepared to get messy at Art Studio. Projects include crayon/blow-dryer art, marbleized shaving cream art, throw painting and more.

Dodgeball Games and/or Recycled T-Shirt Projects

November
Enjoy a variety of dodgeball games such as Jailhouse, Medic, Elimination, Partner Elimination Dodgeball and more. Art Studio includes projects that use old t-shirts and sewing skills such as rugs, bags, scarves, pillows and more.

Non-Traditional Sports and Games and/or DIY Gifts

December
Come play Minute to Win It, floor curling, Kubb, shuffleboard and more. Create Art Studio projects that can be used as gifts such as ceramic mugs and coasters, monogram art, planters and more.

Note: Teens needing coverage from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. prior to Club start time may visit the supervised Teen Lounge for $2 per day (payment is taken at Lions West front counter).
