Specialty Camps

Come Join Us This Summer for Camp Cucamonga Specialty Camps

Are you ready for some FUN this summer? Awesome arts and crafts? Great group games? Outdoor excursions? These are just a few of the exciting events you can experience when you enroll in Specialty Camps. Offered to campers ages 8 to 11, these week-long summer camps held Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. are the perfect complement to the longer running Camp Cucamonga Youth Camp program. Specialty Camps are jam packed with activities and themed weeks like Adventure Camp at Lytle Creek, ArtRageous!, Camp Gear It Up!, The Science Factory, A Splash of Color!, and more. It will be a summer to remember! If you are looking for a fun place to have a great time and make new friends, then Specialty Camps has a spot waiting for you. Spots are limited and fill quickly, so don't delay.

Experience explosive fun as campers work on outrageous projects like rockets, volcanoes, and exploding watermelons. Campers will also enjoy learning about our universe, galaxies, comets, and planets through hands-on activities.
June 4 - 8 15161 Grizzly Games
Outsmart, out-laugh, out-fun! Campers will learn survival skills and participate in daily competitions to earn points for their tribes. Acticities include archery, constructing teepees and catapults, water games, capture the flag, and more.

Adventure Camp
Participate in easy hiking trips, fish in a creek, and learn survival skills such as archery, building shelters, and outdoor meal prep. Transportation provided daily to Lytle Creek Campground.
June 18 - 22 15165 ArtRageous!
Young artists will feel inspired and use their imaginations to create masterpieces through a variety of painting mediums and styles. The best part? Creating canvas art using paint-filled water guns.
June 18 - 22 15166 Gear It Up!
Plan it, build it and test it! Use critical thinking and teamwork to create roller coasters, Ferris wheels, and bottle cars. Each project will be tested; may the best builder win!
July 9 - 13 15168 H2O Go!
Stay cool with daily water games. Campers will participate in hands-on projects that teach them about the oceans and their inhabitants, and how to preserve the environment.
July 9 - 13 15169 Tumbling Towers
It's a building frenzy of fun as campers construct forts, cities, towers, and castles using cups, balloons, sugar cubes, and more. The question remains - can your structure withstand an attack from the opposing team?

A Splash of Color
The paintbrush meets the canvas in this unique art class. Participants will learn about painting styles and famous artists that used their own special techniques to create works of art. On the last day parents are invited to an art exhibit showcasing their campers' masterpieces.

Budding scientists will work on hands-on projects such as gooey slime, bottle volcanoes, and pop rocks, just to name a few.

Registration Information

Early online registration for residents begins March 5, 2018. In person and non-resident online registration begins March 12, 2018. Register online by clicking the Activity #s above. See below for walk-in registration information.  

  • Walk-in registration begins March 12, 2018 and can take place at the Goldy S. Lewis Community Center at Central Park - 11200 Base Line Road, Rancho Cucamonga, CA (map). Mon. - Fri. 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Sat. / Sun. 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m, or Lions East Community Center - 9191 Base Line Road, Rancho Cucamonga, CA (map). Mon. - Th. 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • Additional one-time enrollment fee of $38.39 per child is required (includes camp shirt).
  • Full payment is due at the time of registration for each week registered.
  • Min. 10 / Max. 20 per camp, per week.
  • One-time enrollment fees and 3.75% registration transaction fees are non-refundable.
  • New campers must provide copy of birth certificate or immunization record at time of registration.
