William J. Alexander
Council MemberCouncil Member William "Bill" Alexander is a 55-year resident of western San Bernardino County. He previously served the City for eighteen years first as a Council Member and then as Mayor, leaving the City Council in 2006. He was re-elected to the City Council on November 2, 2010 and November 4, 2014.
Bill is the father of six children and has six lovely granddaughters. Four of Bill's children have been through the educational system in Rancho Cucamonga. He was educated locally, and graduated from Montclair High School in 1961. Bill received his Associate of Science Degree from Chaffey College, has attended numerous other regional and out-of-state education forums. He is a Certified Bomb Technician, having graduated from the F.B.I. Regional Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Bill served in the fire service for 35 years, and is a retired Fire Captain from the City of Ontario.
For eleven years, Bill was elected/re-elected to serve as a member of the Foothill Fire Protection District Board of Directors. During those years, he served concurrently as a member of the Public Safety Commission for the City of Rancho Cucamonga.
