The City of Rancho Cucamonga offers three options to make purchase or renewal of pet licenses convenient for you.
Buy or Renew your License Online
. To complete the license process, you must mail, fax, or email a copy of your pet’s current rabies vaccination certificate, and proof of sterilization as well as proof of your age if applicable. Be advised that if we do not receive the requested documentation within 30 days of the license purchase date, the license will become invalid and a new license will have to be purchased and a late penalty will be added.
NOTE: Currently the online pet licensing system does not support using either Internet Explorer 10 or Internet Explorer 11. You can try using Internet Explorer in Compatibility Mode (when you first go to the License Online website select Tools, Compatibility View Settings, and add this webpage to enable Compatibility Mode) or you can also use an alternate browser such as Firefox or Chrome. The vendor responsible for the online pet licensing system is aware of the issue and working on a fix for the bug.
Mail Your License Application or Renewal
. Download the Animal License Application Form and mail it with your payment to the address on the Form. Remember to include a copy of the vaccination and spay/neuter certificate if applicable.
Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care and Adoption Center. Purchase a pet license 6 days a week, excluding major holidays, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday thru Friday and 10:00 a.m. thru 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, at the Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care & Adoption Center, located at 11780 Arrow Route, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730
Please keep in mind that the number of pets allowed per household in residential areas is 3 dogs and 3 cats.
For your convenience, the City now accepts payment by Visa, Master Card, Discover Card, and American Express. We do not accept credit card numbers over the phone or through the mail.
