Measure A: West-Side Parks & Street Lighting

Measure A Election is on November 3.

The City's West-Side enjoys safe walkable neighborhoods, but existing funding is inadequate for what's needed to maintain neighborhood street lighting and parks.  Measure A was placed on the ballot to continue to keep west-side neighborhoods and parks well lit and well maintained. Measure A proposes the creation of a single West-Side Parks and Street Lighting District which would eliminate existing multiple Landscape Maintenance Districts.  This webpage is intended to disseminate the most current information and status on Measure A so that registered voters within the proposed area can make an informed decision at the polls on November 3rd.

Official Measure A Ballot Question

To maintain safe, clean, quality, well-lit streets, parks, playgrounds and recreation areas/facilities/restrooms, remove graffiti/trash and acquire/maintain street lights and other facilities, shall the City of Rancho Cucamonga replace existing assessments with a special tax to be levied within Community Facilities District No. 1 and establish an annual appropriations limit as provided in the rate and method of apportionment set forth in City's Resolution 15-111, which require annual audits, senior discounts, and independent citizen oversight?
