Planning Department - Design Guidelines

The City of Rancho Cucamonga's goal is to foster the quality design that enhances the community and to inspire development of lasting quality. The more familiar you are with the City's expectations for design, the more prepared you will be and the better able we will be to help guide your project to a successful completion. Guidelines are available for Residential and Commercial/Industrial projects. These guidelines were prepared in response to the needs of many users: developers, property owners, architects, planners, landscape architects, and civil engineers. Each of these interests play a vital role in the successful design of a project. These guidelines are intended to be used only in combination with the City's Development Code, specific plans and community plans. The guidelines address site planning, subdivision design, grading, architecture, landscaping, master planning, and signs. Copies of the guidelines are available from the Planning Department.
