Fire Construction Services Fire Construction Services (FCS) performs fire plan check, permit issuance and inspections on behalf of the Rancho Cucamonga Fire District (RCFD). FCS’s primary responsibilities are the review of construction plans, permit issuance and the inspection of projects in the development process that may include uses, and processes in new and/or existing facilities within the jurisdiction of the RCFD. FCS also participates in the conceptual review process from the inception of the project; FCS involvement begins with the preliminary design review; continues during Development Review (DR), Conditional Use Permit (CUP), Minor Development Review (MDR), tentative tract and parcel map and on through final occupancy.
FCS conducts fire plan review, permit issuance and inspection services for hazardous materials, high pile storage, fire protection water supply, fire sprinklers, fire alarm, storage tanks and co-review of fire-life safety components of architectural plans for commercial, industrial and Wildland Interface construction and landscape projects. FCS also provides preliminary project review for projects located with in the County of San Bernardino that are beyond the city limits but within the jurisdiction of the RCFD.Staff of Fire Construction Services also work very closely with the Fire District staff in areas of annual fire inspection for certain types of occupancies, wild land interface regulations and fire damage assessments.
